I always had trouble with MySpace and people getting jealous. I know the article talk about facebook, but I never had a facebook and beside MySpace is somewhat like the same thing. MySpace can make people jealous just by having people on your top ten friend’s page. If your boyfriend or your girlfriend isn't on your top of course there going to be mad and jealous and say, "Why do have that person and not me, what going on between yall that makes him/her so special." It nothing but drama. For me when I use to have a MySpace I would have best friends that were guy friends and they would have me as there number one or two. And there girlfriends would make a big deal out of it. I would even get messages from my friends girlfriends say for me to leave them alone and blah blah blah. It’s dumb, grow up. Also guys would comment my pictures and write, oh you’re beautiful! And the guy I was going out with that time will make a big deal about asking questions who is that, did you go out with him, I don’t want you talking to him no more. Really?! It is just a picture and a boy I don’t know. It not MySpace causing jealousy, but dumb insecure people.
Can MySpace have an impact on your grades?
I say yes and no. Yes because MySpace can be fun and something I can be on for hours talking to friends. For me I tell myself I’m bored already with my homework so let me jump on MySpace for a little bit to clear my mind. But I end up on MySpace for ever and I forget my work or to study. Then I fail the class. The reason I say no is because if I put my mind to work and forget about playing then I can do my work. I think it just how much you want to do your work to pass. It not MySpace fault it is our own for being lazy. Sometimes if I really want to get on MySpace but I have home work, I will set a goal for me. If I finish this much homework then I am able to get on MySpace. It helps a lot if you are a person who gets off track and just wants to have fun.

Pandora & last fm

Well last fm was okay. It could have been better but it was so confusing. They need to make easier. I tried to listen to a song and instead of playing the song it took me to a whole other place. They only cool thing about it is it play a video along with the song. Give me some more time with it and I should know how to work it sooner or later.
Pandora is so cool. I like how Pandora picks out songs that you like. The songs keep on coming one by one and I can pick thumbs up if I like it and it saves to my music or I can pick thumbs down if I don’t like it and they never show me the song again. Pandora lets you pick as many songs as you want and you can put the different types of songs into sections to separate them. And plus Pandora easy to work. I always use to watch my music video on YouTube, but Pandora has a video you can watch with the music you are listening to. With YouTube it's kind of hard because you have to make sure it’s the right music video. There can be so many different music videos about one song. Did you know that Pandora charges after you use it after 40 hours? I think that dumb if you wanted to charge some you should of charge at the beginning. That the only thing that I think I don’t like about Pandora. I really like Pandora and plan to use it a lot. I’m going to have to tell all my friends about Pandora.

At the writing center

I went to the writing center to get feedback on how good my descriptive paper was. The guy that I had was a nice person not mean at all. He gave me good feedback on my paper. He read each line and sees how we can both make it sound better. We also fix the beginning of my paper. The thing that he said was wrong with it was me writing in the link and the title. What we did was move that part to the end. It sounds much better and it goes with the ending. I would of like him to go over and tell me if I had good detail or did I need more. We never worked on detail and I think I should have asked him to go over that with me. The one thing he helped me on the most was how I should of list the five facts about Alex. At first I just had it as like a number list but then we switch it up to putting it all together, using the words first, second, third, fourth, and fifth. On my paper was a lot of miss grammar. My tutor went over with me on how we can keep the same sentence, but put different words in it to make it sound better and not so confusing. The whole secession went good and I like the writing center. They help me out a lot to make my paper better.

commenting on blogs

I liked reading other people blogs. They had some really interesting stuff to say in there blogs. But the one I liked the most was Jesse blog on the vlog he pick. {Ha that sounds funny blog and vlog ha}So Jesse talk about this man who in the hospital for being overweight. Jesse uses a lot of detail in his blog and talks about how the guy is not sad or depress. He makes fun of himself. Which to me is kind of weird? It just shows that he doesn’t care if people make fun of him. Jesse talks about how this guy is not alone that he has a wife that helps him out and is there with him in the hospital every step of the ways with his surgeries. Jesse did a really good job on this blog I was so interested that I watch the vlog for myself. My comment for Jesse was a good one. It wasn’t mean or anything it was mostly saying keep up the good work. For Caesar comment he needs to re read what he writes it gets kind of confusing. His blogs are good as well. Jessica comments my blog on online dating. Her comment was funny and what she thought about online dating. I liked that she comment my blog there was things she said that I could have add to blog.

time line

The time line we had to use was to help us on our descriptive paper. We had to break up into groups of two and help each other on making a time line. My partner helped me out a lot. The reason why he helped me out a lot is because he didn't have a vlog yet. We need to at least have five different paragraphs, with descriptive detail. The first part of the paper that we worked on was the beginning. It was the most easies part to start on. First we put the link to the video and the title. Then after that my partner started to ask me question like how did the boy look like, where was he at, how did his room look like. Basically my partner was asking me these questions to get more detail out of me and it work. I started to ramble on and on about how the boy looks from his colored eyes to what he was wearing and where he was at. After we started on the first part of the time line everything became easier thanks to my partner of course. He kept on asking me question, how did the boy sound like? Did he make a funny face when he said something? My partner really wanted detail. At one point my partner said to me, "I can image how this boy looks like we you describe him." The time line for me worked really well. It had a lot of my planning on it, not just from me but from my partner as well. The time line helped me separate five different paragraphs and what I wanted to talk about in those paragraphs without repeating myself. For my partner on the other hand, he didn't have a vlog so I wasn't able to help him as much. Instead of helping him on his paper I kind of helped him find a vlog. Over all it was great having a partner to help me with my time line because by myself I probably wouldn't know what to start with. And if my partner didn't ask me so many questions about my vlog I wouldn't have as much detail in my paper either.

first(well his) vlog

The vlog that I watch today was so interesting to me, because he so interesting. His name his Alex, he's sixteen years old, he's from England, and the vlog that I watch was his first vlog and it was good! What surprise me is that I'm interested in this vlog. I think the reason why I think he so interesting to me is because the things he wants to talk about. He talks about him being shy but since he talking to a web cam he doesn't feel that why. One thing he is going to talk about is how it is in England. I always want to know how it is in England. He's going to go over the things that England people do and their culture. Alex vlog just talk about him and what he was going to be vlogging about. I think he very good at it. He had very little mess ups and he seem confident in himself. I think Alex is going to be really good at making vlogs. Alex is scared of spiders and ha flat feet. He hates mash potatoes and the most things that I like about Alex is his eyes. They turn different colors even yellow! I think that so cool; I wish my eyes turn different colors. Alex has a very clam accent voice and he seems lay back, but at the same time fun to hang out with. I think if I were to meet Alex we would be friends. Alex reason for doing vlog is he wants to make a new fresh start for himself. He been doing vlog but on a different channel and now he doing vlog on this channel on YouTube to reintroduce himself and make new vlogs. Alex main reason for making vlogs is to entertain us. Alex is leting us take a view of his life and not most people let us do that. Alex just want to make us laugh with his videos. Well first of all YouTube is big and worldwide. It blows my mind about how many people half way across the world can connect with each other. There are students in the video that are studying YouTube, and they have to make a vlog. For them it's kind of hard. One of the girls students holds a mirror up to show that she talking to web cam and that she doesn't know who she talking to. She can be talking to anybody in the world and that the most interesting thing about YouTube, which you can communicate to anyone about anything and you don't know who you're talking to. I think YouTube is so awesome. I am always on YouTube watching music videos, scary videos, clips of new movies, and dance videos. YouTube has everything to entertain you.
It would be funny to think without YouTube that life would be boring and no communication. When people do vlogs from somewhere else in the world we learn about them and where they come from. You can also communicate with them to go more depth about what you want to know or you can them to make a vlog about something you want to watch.

In class I like how we group up and talk about are papers. Each of us had to read are paper out loud and the other group member had to tell us how we should better our paper. I like it because I got to get a chance to hear what other people wrote and it gave me ideas what i should write or ways to put more details in it to make it longer. I got to talk to them about my paper on how to make the introduction longer, and for the middle we talk about how to put more detail into it. Like talk about the assignment and was it a two part grade, did u have to turn in a rough draft to get a grade. So all those details I added to my paper. And we also went over on how to end the paper and we should have in the paper by saying thank you for reading are paper and taking time to do so and to leave contact information for the teacher can get hold of you if they want to tell you something. Over all I like the feedback that I got back from my group.It really help me to make my paper sound better. And I also got to give them feedback on how I though there paper sounded and what feedback I could give them to make there paper sound better.I also learn that we couldn't make are paper sound emotional because it not right for this kind of essay. I'm just glad that I didn't have any of that in my paper or else I would have to write my whole paper all over. I hope we get to do this again if have other paper to do,it really helped

For me I think the email blog was so much easier.On the blog we get are chance to talk to are friend on how we really feel and we didn't have to hold back.In other words we didn't have to say everything so nice.And if I'm talking to my friend i think I can go on forever on how I felt about my failing grade. Now with the email to the teacher I can't do that.I think it's funny because on the essay we cant really tell the teacher how we feel. And the feeling I mean is mad instead we have to show that we are consider than being mad,but with the blog we can feel mad and write about it and we don't have to be fake about it. The teacher email can really help us later in college.It shows us how to write what we should write to a teacher if we were consider about a grade.I like doing both of them. I though that they were very interesting.I think the reasons why the email to the teacher was hard was that I didn't know how to start it.Plus everything I want to say sounded to emotional so I had to fix that and the last part was i didn't know how to end it.I guess I had problem with the whole paper.I had stuff to say that sounded really good i just didn't know how to put it down on paper. Now that I did the paper I feel more prepare to do another paper like it. I think it enhance my skills much better too.

dating

I think online dating is pretty cool. I think it can help a lot of people that are shy get up and get out there. Maybe for some shy people they can get a lot out when there writing to someone then just standing in front of someone and stuttering on the words because your nervous. People can actually talk to people and see if they like them or not {don't forget about the picture}, and they can finally met. Its also good cause now they have background checks to get rid of people that have three wives and just want some fun. They even look for people with the criminal backgrounds which I think is good, you don't want to go out on a date and tomorrow you’re under the missing people. For older people it’s kind of better for them. They probably feel like there too old to go on dates or how could they ever find the right person. Well on match.com they compare you to someone like you and since their kind of older they have experience on long relationships and it sometimes works out better for them. A thing that I don't agree on is EHarmony rejecting gays. I think gays need love too. There people just like us looking for a love. EHarmony is dumb, if they would let gays in they would get more people that like them better reviews and more money. I think gays should have rights to dating on line with EHarmony, but in one of there papers a man states that there are dating sites that let them.

what I think about the writing assginment

Today in class we when over the fake email essay. Which I think is pretty hard and easy at the same type. The hard part is going to the writing center or getting an appointment. I really don't know how I'm going to find time to do that. I like the essays that were writing it’s nothing hard for me just to think about it and write it down. And I think some how this email thing will help us out in the future. For example if I ever get a failing grade I think I don't deserve I can just write a email to my teacher to reconsider my grade since now I'm going to know how to do it and in mannerly way too. I think the two hard parts of writing my essay is how I am going to start it. Do I say," hello i'm Paula in your English class 301", or should I just get to the point," I'm Paula and I would like to reconsider my grade." I don't want to sound to rude or emotional. The other part is the end. I know I’m suppose to say thank you for your time, but at the end should I leave my email for the teacher or my number or is that over doing it. For right now those are the only two things that I am worry about my paper.

I think it's a good idea to bring technology into schools. For one I think it helps you learn how to work a computer first of all. I’ve never had a computer in my last 12 years in school, so for that I barely know how to use it or work it. I still need to ask the teacher hoe to double space or how to fix the page for writing. I think the younger you start the better. It gives them a lot of years to practice at it. Even for elementary kids, it can be easy programs like little word grammar or how to type or how to spell and type on the computer at the same time. I think high school kids need it the most because they’re the ones that start to write essays and the teachers want them to type it out. They need to learn all of this not just for high school but for college so there prepared. I think technology helps you get smart. Now you have to actually think how to use stuff now that it not so easy. And you can go on your computer and look up words or watch something that helps you learn. We need to update everyone, because they’re going to fall behind and would know how to do anything.
I think using the iPhone is ok if they are using it in the smart way. Its true kids probly play on it or whatever but it can also be a tool for learn like get on the internet and looking stuff up. Or if the programs a learn active on the phone that even better. I think using the iPhone is good at school if you're actually going to use it for school work and not play.

I think using an iPhone in college is good to use. For one reason it lets kids check there emails and if they get lose they can use in to pull up a map of the campus. There even a panic button on there that let the police knows where you're at. The teachers use it for the kids to study and learn. There a lot of programs that the teacher can put on the iPhone that will let the study go over or do. Plus the iPhone is way liter then a computer. There are people that argue that an iPhone is not a good use, because it can be distracting, but I think not. The college has restrictions on the iPhone during class so that they can only do the work in class. And the iPhone can't even make calls, unless you pay for programs. The only thing I don't like about the iPhone is that only freshman get which would suck for me next year. I think everyone should get one. Over all I would like using the iPhone.
Is texting a way of being lazy?
I think not. Texting is a fast way to get around when others can't speak at the moment and it’s not loud. Expect for the taps that you might hear if you're listening very careful. Other thing that people say is lazy about texting is how people shorten worlds. For example "lol" means laugh out loud, "omg" means oh my god, "ttyl" means talk to you later. Some people consider this lazy and say make spelling and grammar worst. What do think? I think there just silly first of all if you have a problem with spelling then that on you for not learning how to spell. Texting doesn't make it worst. On everyone’s phone it has a T9 which spells words even if you just put in the first three letters it takes guesses at it and you can just pick the right word you want. Tada! Now you know how to spell the word for next time. And for grammar yeah I heard people talk in text but it’s silly they should know when it’s time to talk right.

Guess what grade I got in my math class? A "D". Come on I deserve better than that.I'm always doing my work in class,taking notes,and raising my hand if I don't know an answer or don't understand it.I know I don't always make an good grade on test,but doesn't mean I don't do my best. Haven't he ever heard of "A" for effort.I always put effort into my work.I'm always working out the problem step by step and if I don't know it I still try to work it out.His class isn't even fair.He doesn't count homework but he gives it to us.The deal is who ever comes in first and answer one of the homework problems on the board gets 1 point on the test.I think that's good,but I'm not always the first one into the room because my before teacher keeps us late and there always like maybe 8 questions on the homework which I can't answer a problem.Why can't he just grade the homework and everybody the does the homework gets a point on the test,that makes it fair for everyone.He maybe doesn't like me.I'm always quite in that class never talk out loud or do any wrong and I have a "D". I would at least be happy with a"C" because I deserve it.I really work hard for my grade and I want it! So..should I go talk to him?

In English class are writing assignments seem pretty cool. I really like some of them. I also like this whole blogging thing. I like that we can write down what we actual think and feel about a subject. I wish we did this in high school. With the blogging I think I might not get them done on time, but I will get them done by all deadlines. I like how she put us in groups. I like being in a group. It makes the work easier and less. Also you have someone to ask if you need help on something. And you can even make friends with in your groups. When I'm in a group I feel the need to push myself to keep up with my group and to try to stay on top on things. I like how are class work is in class. She gives two groups an assignment and they have to take notes on it,and in class they have to explain and kind of lecture us on the subject.For the kids that don't take the notes they get to ask questions for them and talk about and I like this because everyone has different opinions which makes the discussion more better.I can't wait to see how were going to use Myspace,Facebook,and YouTube in one of are class work. I really like how everything works in this English class.We also have a syllabus that we can check on our pals account,that we can follow everyday and get ahead if we want to.I think all this stuff makes it easier for you to get through the class

my writing process

Everyone has different writing process,but I think mine stands out from all the rest. Well first I have to be clean.meaning my hands. It bothers me that my hands are dirty, I feel like I'm going to get the paper all dirty.When I'm at school writing a paper I like for me desk to be clean.I take my backpack off and if I have books I'll put them on the floor.But for my backpack I like to keep in my laps and put my arms around it while I write.It makes me feel comfortable.another thing is I don't like to feel to hot or too cold.that throws off my whole writing,because I'm being distracted by what the temperature is.And also when at school I like for the class to be quiet.I mean hardly anyone can't work where it's loud.Other thing I like when the teacher puts on music,but the soft type and low that helps alot.When I'm at home I like to write on my bed.Its soft and relaxing.I make sure everything is clean around me including my hands.I'll end up getting something to drink right next me.So when I began to write I start off by brainstorming.Which for me is good,because all these ideas come out.And then I'll write about two drafts and look over it and add that information to the final paper.Once ever thing is good I'll type it out.Also othere thing I do is if I see that i miss spelled something I always go to check spell to change it right.

how do we use technology in are life.

we use technology in are everyday life. We use computers to email people, and even sometimes we can call people from are computer. I find that really awesome. there also web cam. Its where you use a computer with a little camera and its connects you to a person with another. This lets you see the other person on your computer and send emails. sometimes you can even talk to them. other way use technology is are cell phones. We call people to talk to them, we can text message people when they can't talk. are world is always changing and there are many ways to use technology. When your hot you put on the AC,which keeps you cool. And the AC takes lot of work inside to blow out wind.Our cars are away of are technology. We use them to get around from place to place.In a car there are alot of things put together to make it work. there a engine there wheels,pipes, and lights. I think with out technology we would be dumb.
